I don't mind it but it will take some getting used to. The device itself is definitely something to experience.

You can then click Load Driver during the installation and point it to the location of the driver you grabbed and it should be smooth sailing from there.
After initial setup, grab the Apple Solid State Drive Device driver (I used DoubleDriver, a neat driver backup utility) and place it on your Windows 10 installation media flash drive.

Then, you must install it through the BootCamp Assistant. First, you must download the Windows 10 ISO from Microsoft's page but you must do this from within macOS (or use Chrome's UserAgentSwitcher) or else you will be redirected to the download tool (which gives us the wrong ISO). The process requires some hoops to jump through. Even worse, they do not include the driver in the WindowsSupport folder used to run BootCamp. The Windows 10 installation media does not detect the internal SSD due to apple using one of the proprietary kind. My intent was to wipe macOS (and install it on an external SSD for firmware updates) and single boot Windows 10. I've used Windows pretty much my whole life and acknowledged that Macs had some nice hardware. I will be buying another device instead of trying my luck again. This shouldn't be an issue on a device that costs $1299.

This isn't an isolated problem as many users have reported this and Apple offers only repair on the non-TB version instead of full replacement like on the 13 & 15 TB models. When the macbook gets warm under use, the 2nd gen butterfly switches warp and create a popping sound (google: macbook loud keys). UPDATE: My replacement model also experienced the same defect as the first one I received. Generally, I would still say, it is a good machine that you should consider, if you do not mind, please buy an external battery pack for it, you would need it. Fujitsu or VAIO made their machine less than 1kg and maintain full set I/O, LG even have 72Wh battery. Heavy, a 13.3in machine weigh 1.37kg is a facepalm thing. (270 only has half speed NVMe versus MBP13, I am wondering maybe faulted by 128GB vs 256GB)Ĥ. it feels even slower than 7300U based X270. I mean 7360U should perform better than looks like. Apple engineers should consider their users may use their machine in a library. 270 lost less than 40% and MBP13 already died. I mean, I use my ThinkPad X270 as a comparison, these 2 machines were launched in the same year.
Poor battery life, within 6hours, it died. Apple is not the prettiest one like Fujitsu or VAIO, but it is among the most beautiful machines in the world.ġ. Since it gave to her, it cannot be an ugly one. Super fast USB3.1, I mean 500MB/s with my Super-Drive, this is incredible.ģ. I suppose it would even beyond X1C6's Dolby Vision. Very very good nit, I mean 500nit+ more in a practical situation means you can see everything crispy clear. And I would say I would give it 4/5 review.ġ. Then, NVM, this is the cheapest that I could find. To ensure she could get back to work soon, I gave this machine to her to resume everything quickly. A friend of mine who recently lost her laptop.
